Help Viewing Images/Manuscripts

There are three sizes of images available on our website

• Thumbnail image/Small size:
  This gives an overview of the images for the search/link you clicked, usually 9 images are shown on a page. This page also displays the total number of images and pages available for your search. Clicking on the thumbnail will reveal a medium size image and more information about it.

• Medium size:
  This is a medium size image with more information than what is on the thumbnail page. You can click 'Prev' and 'Next' to view the consecutive images or you can go back to the thumbnails by clicking the link on the top. If you would like to see a bigger size then click on the image. You will need a DjVu plug-in installed to view the larger size. Click here to download the Plug-in. (This is a plug-in similar to flash/quicktime plug-ins to view DjVu format files. You are not installing a software.)

• Djvu image/Large size:
  This is a large format image which can be viewed after installing the plug-in. Click here to download the Plug-in. You will need to install the plug-in only once. You can zoom-in, zoom-out, pan, rotate the image. Most of the functions you are used to in Adobe acrobat can be found here. You will not see any information about the image on this page, if you would like to see the information you will need to use the browser back button and go to the medium size image.
