    This site is is the official webpage of the government of Brunei Darussalam. It includes facts on the monarchy, national philosophy, and overall information about government.
  • Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports
    This page can be found as a link to the Government of Brunei Darussalam website. Though some of the headings appear in English, actual search items, i.e sports are written in Malay language. This may be a challenging site for students not versed in the Malay language.
  • Ministry of Defense
    Website providing information regarding Brunei's armed forces, intelligence, services, and military personel training.
  • Ministry of Development
    Website in Malay. Some English links appear but they lead to information in Malay. Two Minister's speeches: "World standards day" and "Launching of safety month (2006)" can be found in English.
  • Ministry of Education
    Site containing information regarding Brunei's school terms, holidays, exams, educational statistics, and even disease. In addition to news regarding the Minister of education and his personal involvement with the people and their educational goals.
  • Ministry of Finance
    Website unavailable as of 9-7-2007.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade
    Website containing information regarding consular events, foreign policy and trade and economy. The site also includes visa information and advice on traveling from and to Brunei.
  • Ministry of Health
    Page mostly in Malay containing two articles in English regarding Avian Influenza, and Foot, Hand, and Mouth disease. There is also advertisements for jobs for Health personnel.

    The aim of the Ministry is difficult to be quantified because it covers variety of aspects and is engaged in wide-ranging tasks, but generally it can be said the Ministry was set up with the following objectives: To maintain peace and security of the country. To enhance the standard and quality of life so as to ensure continuous prosperity and well-being of the people. To ensure balanced development in all the districts.

    The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) was formed in 1989 with the responsibility of promoting and facilitating industrial development in Brunei Darussalam. Brunei Darussalam offers all investors security, stability, continuity, confidence and competitiveness. The site offers information and investment oppportunities and incentives, corporate business opportunities, and links to other Brunei government sites.

    At the moment the website is only available in Malay. The English and Arab links are under construction.
  • Department of Agriculture
    The website provides this summary regarding the Dept. of Agriculture's mission statement and regulations. Our two regulatory functions are to achieve market stabilization and safeguard food safety. In terms of market stabilization, Negara Brunei Darussalam fully abides all international agreements on trade liberalization. We regulate the import of agri-foods and agricultural products to ensure market stability, as well as to avert market-distortion by unscrupulous people. We also protect consumers’ interests and prevent the introduction of dangerous infectious and noxious agents through imports. Our stand on food safety, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements has been consistently stringent. In addition, we have the necessary laboratory facilities to conduct agro-chemical residual analyses and adequate personnel to carry out veterinary inspections.
