Cremation volume for Mō̜m Čhao Čhongkonnī Watthanawong [หม่อมเจ้าจงกลนี วัฒนวงศ์]. Includes one portait of the crematee, a photograph of her receiving an honorary award during a hospital stay, and one of the crematee’s funeral. Also included are two photographs of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit in attendance at the funeral of the crematee. Included in the front matter is a reproduction of a signed New Year’s card from the King and Queen and their four children. The volume also inlcudes a 15 page biographical essay on the crematee, and a brief explanatory note on the use of rāchāsap, i.e. official court language. The main text, 147 pages, comprises the twenty-fourth volume of King Chulalongkorn’s diaries for the period Wednesday, June 1, 1887 to Saturday, December 31, 1887.
