The present volume contains a brief introduction written by Prince Damrongrāchānuphāp. The main text is divided into two parts. The first part, 16 pages in length, and written in Thai, consists of H.M. King Chulalongkorn's instructions to his sons — Prince Kitiyakara (Prince Čhanthaburīnarưnāt), Prince Raphi (Prince Rātchaburīdirēkrit), Prince Pravitra Vadhanodom (Prince of Prachin), Prince Chira (Prince of Nakhon Chaisri) — on the eve of their departure for their education in Europe in 1885. The second part of the text, 13 pages in length, is the English version of King Chulalongkorn’s instructions, translated by Prince Bidya (Prince Phitthayālongkō̜n).
